Jax’s New Cousin!

Sweet Emma Kay was born to Melissa’s sister Natalie and her husband Gene on May 1, 2013, at 10:30am!  We are so excited to have a new niece and Jax is head over heels in love with his new cousin (literally)!  Jax learned to say “Emma” before she was born and was not sure what to think at first.  Now, he often asks to see pictures of Emma and anytime he sees a picture of a baby, he says “Emma.”  When Emma was first born, Jax would often say “Emma milk Nat-Nat” or “Emma crying milk.”  It was really cute! 

Natalie recently sent us a video of Emma smiling and Jax loved it and got the cutest grin on his face each time he watched Emma smile and we watched it over and over (and over…).  He kept saying “again.”  He has a tender heart for sure!

Family Pics

We had fun trying to snap some family pics with my momma as our photographer and a busy 21 month old boy!  We tried to find some bluebonnets we heard were near us but to no avail!  Since we couldn’t find them, we made the most of it and let Jax run around outside around a pond and grabbed some pics!

Jax was done and just wanted “hold me.”  Sweet boy.  We are thankful for your loving spirit and how you go from crazy wild boy to sweet snuggly boy in the blink of an eye!

 

Just a normal day at home eating breakfast and enjoying real life in his “dine” as Jax calls his dinosaur pajamas!

Easter Celebration!

We celebrated Easter as we reflected on what Jesus did for us on the cross and His resurrection that brought us new life in Christ!  Praise the Lord for His gift of salvation!  We talked about Jesus’ death and resurrection with Jax and read books about Easter as well.  Easter is the most important day we celebrate and we pray Jax one day understands the sacrifice Jesus paid for us!  Jax loves reading books and the words he picked up on during Easter time were: donkey (Palm Sunday) and Jesus. 

The first time I brought out some Easter eggs, Jax watched me set them out and then I gave him a basket.  After telling him to put all the eggs in the basket, he knew exactly what I meant and picked up all the eggs!  He had fun hunting for eggs and then using the Easter eggs to “cook” in a pan!  Just imitating Mommy!

Jax got his first Aggie hat and he loved it!  He also got the “Jesus Storybook Bible!”  Lots of fun and Jax is growing into a toddler boy so fast!  We love his sweet personality and his kind heart!
