Baby Jax is 2 months!

This 2 month update on baby Jackson is a little late, but I still wanted to post an  update!  Jax took his first airplane ride and trip to Des Moines, Iowa to visit Melissa’s grandparents, aunts, and relatives from September 9-13.  We were flying back home on Jax’s 2 month birthday!  Jax did wonderful on the plane and was a real trooper!  He did have some time he was upset after arriving there when he got off his usual routine, but then he was back to his happy boy self! 

This past month has brought lots of growth and changes!  Jax showed us his first precious smile at 5 weeks, first rolled over from tummy to back at 5 1/2 weeks, then became a pro at rolling over about 7 weeks, and started cooing and “talking” in his baby language a lot to us!  Jax’s sweet smiles and coos are just precious and melt my heart!  Jax loves looking up at Mommy and cooing and smiling just after he finishes eating and on his changing table!  Jax enjoys his activity gym much more now and loves looking at the ceiling fan and smiling at it!  You just crack yourself up baby Jackson!  Jax gets excited for Daddy to come home and loves hearing his Daddy’s voice!  Jax’s 2 month stats: weight was 13 lbs. 10.5 oz. (82% of growth percentile and gained exactly 5 lbs from birth!) and height was 24.5” (88% of growth percentile and grew 4.5” from birth!).

Baby Jax is 1 Month!

It’s hard to believe baby Jackson is already ONE month old!  We are so thankful for each and every minute with our sweet son!  Jax brings such joy to everyone who meets him!  What a beautiful gift from God!

Jax has become a lot more alert over his first month and takes in everything around him.  His gorgeous eyes will gaze straight into mine and make my heart melt!  Jax keeps his days busy with eating (he’s a champ at nursing!), having some playtime, and sleeping!  He loves swinging in his swing the most!  He also enjoys tummy time, looking at all the fun animals on his activity gym, making cooing sounds to Mommy and Daddy, and he loves looking at two wrought iron crosses in our home!  I think Jax loves Jesus already- I tell him all about Jesus as he stares at the crosses!  Jax has become much better at sleeping during the night- some nights he will sleep a stretch of 4 to 4.5 hours!  Happy 1 month of life baby Jax!  Mommy and Daddy love you very much and are blessed to be your parents!
