No, we’re not having twins! Gene proposed to Melissa’s sister Natalie on March 5, 2011, and we’re gaining a brother-in-law! Ryan helped by taking photos during the proposal at the Water Wall in the Galleria area, and we all met for dinner at Capital Grille to celebrate their engagement! The wedding date has been set for October 29, 2011. Our baby boy will be about 3.5 months at their wedding! Our little boy will need his first suit for family pictures- so fun! God has blessed our family in huge ways this year, and our family keeps growing!

Update on Baby Boy
Baby boy is growing and so is Melissa’s tummy! Melissa first started feeling the baby move between 19-20 weeks. I first started noticing some very slight kicks or flutters during Beth Moore Bible study or at church while Pastor Gregg was preaching. I think our baby boy already loves church as that is still where he moves the most! By 20 weeks, the movements were getting stronger and stronger and there was no doubt it was baby boy moving! Ryan first felt baby boy kick at 24 weeks while we were sitting at a stop light on our way to church. I felt baby boy moving quite a bit with my hand and told Ryan, “Quick, he’s kicking strong!” Ryan got to feel a few kicks before the light turned green! Daddy was very excited to finally feel that little guy moving!

Melissa (20 weeks) & Jenny (baby Makenna due 5/6/11) at Jenny’s shower! Jenny is a sweet friend from PA school & we seem to be on a similar life track! We went to A&M together, both got married in June 2006, were study buddies during PA school, and now we’re having our 1st babies together!
Melissa (22 weeks) & Brittany (baby Xavi was just born on 4/20/11) at Brittany’s shower! Britt is a precious friend from Chara Christian Dance Company at A&M and now she lives in California! I miss her and her sweet smile, but it was so much fun seeing her cute baby belly!
