Jax has become such a toddler boy these days and is growing and learning so much! Here’s a little bit of what he’s been up to since turning 1….
1 year visit with Dr. Chin! Jax weighed 22 lbs. (35%) and was 30.5 in. long (70%)
Jax loves Dr. Chin and Dr. Chin is always excited to see our sweet boy!
We started “early” potty training at 12 months and Jax caught on super quick! He goes #2 on the potty every morning and we try to go on the potty throughout the day as well. We’re not giving up diapers, but Mommy likes not having to change as many diapers! (We think he’s a genius!)
Jax loves his walker and being able to walk all around the house!

Happy Grandparent’s Day to Bebe & Pops and Mimi & Papa! I love you!
Love, Jax
14 months
First Day of Fall weather in Houston! First day cool enough to wear jeans!
Love those sweet smiles and laughs!
Words you say at 14 months:
- Mama
- Dada
- Ball
- Bubbles
- Uh-oh
- Boo (for “book”)
- Da (for “dog”)
- Aggie
- Amy
- Sometimes you say: Bebe, Mimi
Things you do:
- Signs for more, all done, eat
- Blows kisses (when we tell you to say “bye-bye” or “night-night”)
- Points a lot! (usually saying “dah”.. maybe “that?”)
- Walks all around the house with your push walker and can turn corners and completely turn around now
- Stands up alone without holding onto anything
- Takes 5-6 steps alone
- Loves looking at books! One day I watched you take every book out of a bin (about 15 books) and open each one and looked at them while I cooked dinner!
- Enjoys being outside to blow bubbles, go for a run/walk in the stroller, and walk along the outdoor furniture
- Raises both his hands up when we say “Praise Jesus” and smiles!
- Doesn’t like Mommy leaving much- sometimes cries if you’re not distracted
- Eats very well and meats seem to be your favorite right now- chicken, beef, liver, sausage, bacon. Also eats lots of eggs, yogurt, bananas, avocado, soup, veggies (squash, carrots, green beans and lots more!). Your first drink other than water in your sippy cup was homemade “green juice” (carrots, kale, cucumber, apples, beets, spinach) Daddy makes in the juicer and you like it!
What a joy and blessing you are sweet boy! Thankful to God for our little family!
